His primary spiritual gifts are: evangelism, teaching and pastor. He served as an Adult Counselor during the 1997 South Texas Billy Graham Crusade. He completed Chaplain internships at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital and Bexar County Jail (2004 – 2006). He was a member of the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office Re-Entry Task Force. From 2012 to 2014, he was a Volunteer Protestant Religious Education Instructor for Airmen-For-Christ, a Military Ministry subdivision of CruMinistry, at the Air Force Basic Military Training Center, Lackland Air Force Base, whereby 316 of 6,170 attendees made receiving Christ decisions in 65 classes he taught.
Since August 2015, he leads a weekly Bible Study group at Liberty House, a transitional recovery shelter for homeless male Veterans in Fort Worth. Three of his future goals are: pastor a community ministry; do equipping ministry in Africa and China, and help prepare younger ministers
and lay leaders through teaching and training.

Her primary spiritual gifts are: preaching, teaching, exhortation and administration. She believes in the dignity and worth of human beings, respect for individual differences and dedication to the truth. This model has guided her contribution in the development of a human service organization where she has, for the past 20 years, exercised her gifts and talents in the edification and empowerment of women in a variety of social outreach efforts (group unity, counseling, education and support of victims of domestic violence and support for the economically disadvantaged female). As the founder of Excel Ministries' Progressive Women's Center previously housed in San Antonio, Texas, Anita has now reestablished those programs under Bright Morning Star Ministries' (BMSM) Women's Programs,

Her primary spiritual gifts are: Prophecy, Discernment of Spirits, Healing, and Teaching. She has led Men and Women’s Prison Ministries. She has organized, conducted and preached for three-day Women’s Conferences. She has fed and ministered to homeless people at the McAllen Homeless Shelter. Her traveling tent revivals have reached different cities in South Texas and the Rio Grande Valley. For the past 20 years, she performed a deliverance-healing ministry. Since July 2013, she has been the Lead Chaplain at Nurses-In-Touch Home Health Care in Floresville, TX providing pastoral and funeral services to staff, clients and families in 16 counties of South Texas. Her ministry has included a year-long grief support, emotional, and spiritual therapy program for families experiencing long bereavement stages.

Education, especially faith based education, is her passion. Since earning a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Oklahoma in Adult and Higher Education Dr. Lawton has continued making contributions within various educational arenas. This pastor/professor specializes in "sweet beginnings". As a Trade Adjustment Assistance for Farmers (TAA) consultant she worked with Gulf Coast shrimpers to assist them in completing business plans which enabled them to improve their current endeavor or launch a new venture. Ordained in 2004, Rev. Lawton has served churches in Kerrville and San Antonio. This Methodist minister speaks at Christian conferences/retreats and is a lifelong learner who continuously completes seminary courses and theological workshops.
